Drive Backup 7.0

HotBackup solution by Paragon creates an image of running operating system without interrupting it.

It is often required that the most important data has to be online 24 hours a day. The attempt of making copies of files that are being updated all the time (such as Exchange mailbox collection or the database that back-ends the website) brings you to 'File is already in use' messages and the backup fails. Here we come to "hot" backup: when the database or mail server can not be stopped even for a few minutes.

For Drive Backup keeping your data secure even if you're not allowed to stop things from running is not a problem. From the customer's side, it runs just like the normal "cold" backup tool many people are used to. This is realized with the help of Paragon specific non-plug-and-play driver that analyses "write" system calls onto physical device.

Please note, that data changes performed during the hot backup will not be included into the backup image: it is going to be the snapshot of data at the moment the HotBackup operation was launched. Yet no files will be lost during the backup process.
